Florent Pallares

Florent Pallares is a filmmaker, lecturer and trainer. He has been a member of the Film Spring Open Foundation since 2008 and holds a PhD in film and audiovisual studies.

He is the artistic director of Red Eyes Cool, an international group of filmmakers that manages the interactive film projects Super Tramp and Let's change the world.

With Dr. Thierry Gobert, he is the inventor of the concept of cinejournalism* that they were able to experiment from 2015 to 2021 with the creation of the University Diploma Photojournalism, Capture and Aerial Images of the University of Perpignan Via Domitia, which was transformed following its success into a professional degree « Information professions: journalism and press » course « Photojournalism, digital media and audiovisual images » where Florent is responsible for the audiovisual training.

He is also president of Image In Cabestany, a lecturer on the CNC’s « Lycéens et Apprentis au Cinéma » program and is in charge of audiovisual training at the UPVD’s Cultural Workshops, the Lycée Pablo Picasso, the City of Perpignan’s Youth Department and Film Spring Open France.

From 2018 to 2020, he supervised for the Institut Jean Vigo, the CNC  » Passeurs d’Images » projects and the Cinémathèque Française’s « Cinéma 100 ans de jeunesse » program.

*Cinejournalism is defined by the realization of film reports resulting from the collaboration between a filmmaker and a photojournalist, in a framework of journalistic and academic research.
