Super Tramp is an interactive fiction project set around a fake international reality TV show, where viewers get to select and pit two homeless people from around the world against each other in order to change their lives. The public might choose to turn them into an artist, an athlete, a politician… and the winner gets to reach the final stage and become whatever the public decided they should be.
This project is backed by the Film Spring Open foundation, under the supervision of Florent Pallares, artistic director of the international filmmaking collective Red Eyes Cool.
It’s open to any filmmaker who wants to take part. Part of the project has already been shot in Guanajuato/León, Mexico, in Cabestany, France, and in Kraków, Poland, but was put on hold because of the pandemic.
Filming resumed in July 2025 in Ensenada, Baja California, in partnership with actor/producer Luis Cervantes, Filmico Audiovisual, Fono Pacific Recording Studio, and the University of Tijuana CUT on its Ensenada campus.
We were lucky enough to record the film’s soundtrack with musicians Karla Alcocer and César Beltrán, and to collaborate with young filmmakers Antonio Barrera, Arnulfo Quiroz and Uri Sánchez.
