Florent Pallares
A filmmaker, speaker and trainer, Florent Pallares has been a member of the Film Spring Open foundation since 2008 and holds a doctorate in film and audiovisual studies. In 2013 he founded Film Spring Open France, and has specialised in ecology, interactivity and artificial intelligence, notably for training programmes funded by the European Union and Mexico.
He is co-founder and head of practical training for the BTS Audiovisual, « Image Trades » option at the GRETA-CFA of Aude and Pyrénées-Orientales, and lectures on the history of cinema at the University of Perpignan Via Domitia.
Artistic director of Red Eyes Cool, a collective of international filmmakers, he also runs three festivals: the « Image In Cabestany » short-film festival, the Étoiles du court-métrage, and the FRAME ecological film residency.
He has also contributed to the CNC’s « Lycéens et Apprentis au Cinéma » scheme and, for the Institut Jean Vigo, has supervised the CNC’s « Passeurs d’Images » and the Cinémathèque Française’s « Cinéma 100 ans de jeunesse » projects.
